Nature of Hand Dyed Yarn

Each skein of yarn has been dyed in a smoke-free, pet free environment. We use professional quality acid dyes and citric acid on all of our yarn. The yarn is washed thoroughly before sending it to the customer, but It is possible for the dye to run or bleed, especially in the first few washes. Although superwash yarn is machine washable, hand washing separately is recommend.

Because each skein is dyed by hand in small batches, no two skeins are exactly the same- they are individual works of art. It is beneficial to alternate skeins for large projects. If you would like to order a sweater's quantity, please contact us at purlandply@gmail.com before ordering so we can make sure you have the closest matching skeins for your project.

We do our best to represent colors accurately in photographs, however colors may vary from monitor to monitor. Photos are taken in natural lighting with minimal photo editing.

 

Return/Refund Policy

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your Purl & Ply order. We will accept returns and issue refunds for damaged or defective products only within 14 days of the original purchase date. Sale items, discounted items, club shipments, OOAK (one of a kind) skeins, and gift cards will not be eligible for return/refund. If an item is returned, buyer is responsible for all shipping charges incurred. Items must be in original condition; e.g. not used, crocheted, or knit with. 

Tangled yarn or knots in skeins while winding in a ball or cake does not qualify as damaged or defective. If you do not have access to a swift and ball winder, we will gladly cake your yarn for you. Please leave us a note on your order if you'd like this service.

Please understand that hand dyed yarn is art. No two skeins are exactly alike even if they are dyed in the same batch. We recommend alternating skeins for your projects to remain consistent throughout even if the skeins look similar. 

Exchanges will be accepted within 14 days of your original purchase date. Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges incurred. If an item is returned, buyer is responsible for all shipping charges incurred. Items must be in original condition; e.g. not used, crocheted, or knit with.

Shipping Policy

All items are sent from Texas in the United States. We will ship all in-stock orders within 2-5 business days. Dyed-to-order and custom orders will usually be shipped in between 7-14 business days. 

Most packages will be sent via USPS. 

No store credit will be issued for a package that has been refused or abandoned. Purl & Ply is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen packages. If the customer would like the items insured, we would be happy to add it at the customer's expense. Please contact us at purlandply@gmail.com and we will send a PayPal request for the additional cost. 

Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. We are not responsible for delays due to customs. Once the item leaves our hands, the postal service is responsible to get it to the buyer within the time frame. 

Current shipping times in the U.S. are estimated between 3-6 business days.

We will gladly provide shipping internationally. Buyer is responsible for any and all import taxes including but not limited to VAT and customs charges.
